The University is included in the Single Audit for the State of Tennessee. The State of Tennessee does not qualify as a low-risk auditee under the provisions of 2 CFR 200.520 due to findings of other State Agencies, including The University of Tennessee. The University of Tennessee had no material weaknesses included in the Single Audit for the State of Tennessee. Three significant deficiencies were noted along with questioned costs related to two of these deficiencies. Questioned costs of $140,835 for the Knoxville campus and $75,092 for the Health Science Center campus, both related to Title IV over-awards to students. The third finding was related to risk assessments required by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act at the Knoxville campus. There were no R&D findings.
